Management

Stephen M. Shapiro, CEO

As a pioneer in the computer services and cellular industries Mr. Shapiro has a long history of creating significant market penetration, profitability and shareholder value.

Starting in 1986 Shapiro ran Cellular Companies in Ohio and the Caribbean. His last position with a carrier was as president of Cellular Communications of Puerto Rico.

In 1988 Cellular One of Ohio was recognized as the best run cellular company in the U.S. under his leadership. He served on the Advisory Board of the Cellular One Group for three years and is a past president of the Caribbean telecomunication Association.

Sales and Marketing Executives awarded Shapiro the Top Management Award for 1996 and he has received many other accolades from businesses and nonprofit organizations.

Shapiro holds a BS degree from American University and was awarded a CPA by the State of Maryland.

Valeri Chirokov, CTO

Mr. Chirokov manages the day-to-day activities of the R&D and technical team both in the U.S. and Europe. He has been with Comet since its inception in 2001.

After spending four years at the Marine Technical University, in 1991 Chirokov accepted a position at Glazen Creative in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to the U.S. where he has permanently resided since. Consulting to SAP Software, prior to joining Comet, Mr. Chirokov assumed a leadership role on numerous development projects.

M. A. Steigman, COO

Mr. Steigman has a long history of successfully bringing new ventures to market.

While with Cellular Communications Inc, Cellular One of Ohio, as General Manager of the Mid-Ohio markets, Mr. Steigman opened the first carrier-owned retail cellular store in the country. He was recognized as the most valuable employee of the year by the company in 1989.

When Cellular Communications acquired a Puerto Rico License Mr. Steigman moved to Puerto Rico where, as Director of Marketing, he introduced the Cellular One brand to the Puerto Rico market overtaking the incumbant competition within two years.

Mr. Steigman’s international experience includes two years as the original CEO of Essar Cellular in India and most recently as Group Director of Marketing for NTL, now Virgin Media, in the UK. Virgin Media is the largest broadband Cable operator in the UK. Sterling Cellular is a phenomenally successful cellular carrier in New Delhi.

Victor Sviadosch, CFO & Founder

Mr. Sviadosch, a successful marketing and technology entrepreneur, is the founder of Comet Video Technology.

He earned his PhD. from the Marine Technical University in St. Petersburg, Russia, with a specialization in Electromechanical Engineering. Sviadosch was manager of the R&D division of a major engineering company. In 1991, he co-founded AFCAP, an international advertising, media and technological services company. The sale of AFCAP returned Millions of dollars to each of the shareholders. In 2001, he founded Comet Video Technologies.
